The End Times
Time Line of Final Events
Perhaps you are new to the study of Bible prophecy and are trying to study the signs of the end times. If so, the more you delve into this arena the more confused you may become! One purpose of this document is to clarify “Facts verses Fiction” concerning God’s “sure word of prophecy” 2 Peter 1:19. So let’s first look at the time line of end time events and then conclude with the Biblical signs of the end times. The following sequence reveals what the Bible says is on the horizon in these last days.
1. YOU ARE HERE: (We are in the year 2024 AD)
2. EARTH’S LAST CRISIS: Luke 21:35; Revelation 3:10. No one knows when it will come, yet it will hit at an unexpected time, like September 11. This crisis could stem from many causes such as economic, natural (such as a huge earthquake, etc.), or possibly, a terrorist attack.
3. 666 AND THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS ENFORCED BY LAW: Revelation 13:16-17. The “mark of the beast” will be enforced by governments around the world as a supposed “solution” to a global, desperate crisis. The majority of Earth’s inhabitants will not realize this is “the mark,” for they will be deceived. Revelation 19:20. The terms “beast” and “mark” are code words in the book of Revelation that God’s people alone will understand. They will know who the “beast” is, and what his “mark” is, while the rest of the world has no clue.
4. THE THREE ANGELS MESSAGES ARE HEARD WORLDWIDE: Revelation 14:6-12. Before anyone receives “the mark,” God will send a special, final message to warn and enlighten a world filled with people He loves and earnestly wants to save. This special message is the message of “The Three Angels.” These angels represent human beings who understand and communicate this exact message with “a loud voice” to “every nation, tribe, tongue, and people” Revelation 14:6-7. The message is given before the return of Jesus Christ (Revelation 14:14-16).
5. THE FINAL CHOICE - THE SEAL OR THE MARK?: Revelation 7:1-3; 13:16-14:1. In the end times, during Earth’s last crisis, every living human being will make a final choice, choosing the side of Jesus Christ and the truth (receiving the “seal of God”) or the side of Satan and the “beast” (receiving his “mark”). Humanity will be divided into two great, final classes.
6. THE CLOSING OF HEAVEN’S DOOR OF SALVATION: Revelation 22:11. After everyone has had a chance to make an enlightened, intelligent decision, then the “door of mercy” will close forever, just like the door closed to Noah’s ark before the flood (See also Genesis 7:16). Every human being will either be “righteous” and “holy,” or “filthy” and “unjust” (Revelation 22:11). There will be no more changing sides.
7. THE SEVEN LAST PLAGUES FALL: Revelation 16; 14:9-12. The seven last plagues are God’s final judgments upon a world that has rejected His love, the cross of Jesus Christ, the worship of the Creator and full authority of the Ten Commandments (14:7, 12).
These plagues fall only upon those who have chosen “the beast” and received its “mark” (Revelation 16:1-2). This time period is also called the “time of trouble” (Daniel 12:1). During this awesome period, God’s people will be fully protected, just like the Israelites were during the falling of the ten plagues in Egypt (see Exodus 7-12; Psalms 91). At the end of this period, God’s faithful ones will be “delivered” (Daniel 12:1).
8. THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON: Revelation 16:14-16. This is the final “battle of that great day of God Almighty.” Jesus Christ returns as “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” (Revelation 19:11-16) to defeat the global forces of Satan, sin and Babylon (Revelation 16:19) and to deliver His blood-bought, obedient people.
9. THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST: Matthew 24:30-31; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Jesus Christ will return visibly, “with power and great glory,” with “a great sound of a trumpet,” accompanied by billions of shiny, holy angels. He will resurrect “the dead in Christ” (this is the First Resurrection) and “catch up” His living saints into the air. “Sudden destruction” falls upon the lost who have survived the seven plagues (1 Thessalonians 4:16-5:3).
10. 1000 YEARS, THE SECOND RESURRECTION, THE FINAL JUDGMENT, THE LAKE OF FIRE AND THE NEW EARTH: Revelation 20:1-15; 21:1. After the return of Jesus Christ comes the 1000 years (Revelation 20). At the end of this period comes the second resurrection of “the rest of the dead” who did not participate in the first resurrection (see Revelation 20:5a; 12-3), the final judgment, “the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:14-15) and then the creation of a new heaven and earth (Revelation 21:1).
In God’s New Earth, there will be “no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful” Revelation 21:4-5. Sin will be gone, and God’s love will reign forever!
Earthquakes and Tsunamis: A Sign of the End Times?
Everyone knows about the terrible Tsunami that hit South Asia and killed so many people. Much has been written, yet here I will look at that deadly current from a perspective not normally explored by news agencies, a prophetic one.
At this moment, the official death toll is near 155,000, yet analysts say the actual numbers are closer to 300,000, and may even reach half a million. This quake/wave disaster is being called: “The Worst Disaster in History,” “The Most Expensive Disaster in History,” “The Largest Relief Effort in History.” U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan called it “an unprecedented global catastrophe.” Newsweek even labelled it, “A cataclysm of Biblical proportions.”
Secularists see it as a random act of Mother Nature, yet millions who believe the Bible sense that somehow, in some way, God Almighty is involved. Is the tsunami a sign of the end? In one of His end-time messages, Jesus Christ predicted:
“And there will be SIGNS in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, THE SEA AND THE WAVES ROARING; men’s hearts failing them from fear and for looking at the things that are coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. THEN THEY WILL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY. Now when these things begin to come to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:25-28 (emphasis added).
Did you catch that? On December 26, 2004, “the sea and the waves roared” like never before devastating the coastlines of 11 nations. Jesus listed this very thing as one of the “signs” of His return. In the days following, people around the globe were “looking” at footage of this event on CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox News, and all other news networks. For thousands of years–until our modern era–it was impossible for people to “look at the things that are coming upon the earth,” but now they can. To me, Christ’s words pinpoint our generation. The next event is that the same people will “see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” The sequence is: the sea and the waves roaring, then the Second Coming. Jesus even said that when these things “begin to happen” we should starting looking up, because our “redemption draws near.”
There was no warning. Vacationers, natives and fisherman mostly knew nothing until the waves overwhelmed them. There’s a lesson here. Paul wrote:
“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, “Peace and safety!” then SUDDEN DESTRUCTION comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.” 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3.
“The day of the Lord” (when Jesus Christ returns) will arrive unexpectedly like a thief. It will hit like “labour pains upon a pregnant woman.” This is significant. Labour pains don’t come all at once but they build up gradually until the moment when the baby comes. The Day of the Lord will come similarly. On December 26, 2004, a major contraction occurred. Birth pains are increasing. Paul’s said we should understand this “perfectly.”
The Book of Revelation predicts that at the very end of the world “every mountain and island was moved out of its place” (Revelation 6:14). Much of Revelation is symbolic, but not all of it. Some is perfectly literal. Some may have viewed the idea of islands moving as farfetched. No longer. On December 26, 2004, the Indonesian island of Sumatra literally “moved” 100 feet. Maps are being redrawn. Thus islands can move. More will shift in the future. Believe it.
Revelation also says that at the very end there will be a “great earthquake as has not occurred since men were upon earth.” Revelation 16:18. In a parallel passage, Isaiah predicted:
“The earth is violently broken, the earth is split open, THE EARTH IS SHAKEN EXCEEDINGLY. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall totter like a hut; Its transgression shall be heavy upon it, and it shall fall, and not rise again.” Isaiah 24:19-20.
Thus someday Planet Earth will be “shaken exceedingly.” “Impossible,” skeptics may have thought. Not now. On December 26, 2004, one report declared: “All the planet is vibrating,” and later, “the entire planet shuddered in its orbit.” Thus the earth can be shaken. According to prophecy and more movement is on the horizon.
Powerful Earthquakes are on the increase
Signs of the “End Times” are all around us. Jesus said, “…Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” Luke 21:10-11. Just look at this chronology of MAJOR earthquakes (excludes 100’s of powerful earthquakes with smaller fatalities) over the last twenty years:
December 12, 1992 — Indonesia: A quake measuring 6.8 killed at least 2,200 people throughout an eastern section of islands.

June 6, 1994 — Columbia: A quake and resultant mudslides killed about 1,000 people in the Paez River valley in south-western Colombia.
January 17, 1995 — Japan: A quake measuring 7.2 killed 6,430 people in Kobe.
May 28, 1995 — Russia: An earthquake measuring 7.5, Russia’s largest on record, killed 1,989 people in the eastern portion of the country.
February 28, 1997 — Iran: A quake measuring 5.5 killed about 1,000 people in northern Iran.
May 10, 1997 — Iran: A quake measuring 7.1 killed 1,560 people in eastern Iran near the Afghan border.
February 4, 1998 — Afghanistan: A quake measuring 6.1 killed at least 4,500 people in the Takhar province.
May 30, 1998 — Afghanistan: A quake measuring 6.9 killed about 4,000 people in the Takhar province.
July 17, 1998 - Papua New Guinea: An under-sea quake measuring 7.1 created three tidal waves, which killed approximately 2,100 people.
January 25, 1999 — Columbia: A quake measuring 6.3 killed about 1,170 people in the central region.
August 17, 1999 — Turkey: At least 17,800 people were killed by a 7.4 quake.
September 21, 1999 — Taiwan: A quake measuring 7.6 killed at least 2,000 people in central Taiwan.
January 26, 2001 — India: A monster earthquake measuring 7.7 struck the western state of Gujarat and neighbouring Pakistan, killing at least 19,700 people.
March 26, 2002 — Afghanistan: At least 1,800 people were killed when a series of earthquakes struck northern Afghanistan and destroyed the district capital of Nahrin.
June 22, 2002 — Iran: A quake measuring a 6 killed at least 500 people in north-western Iran.
February 24, 2003 — China: A magnitude 6.3+ earthquake killed at least 266 people in western China.
May 1, 2003 — Turkey: A 6.4 quake killed 167 people in south-western Turkey.
December 26, 2003 — Iran: A massive earthquake killed more than 30,000 people in Bam, Iran.
December 26, 2004 — Off the coast of Northern Sumatra: A 9.0 underwater earthquake devastated the Indian Ocean region with tsunamis that killed over 283,000 people.
October 8, 2005 — Kashmir: A 7.6-7.8 earthquake killed between 100,000 and 150,000 people. Many more people are still homeless.
May 27, 2006 — Java, Indonesia: A 6.3 earthquake killed over 6,200 people and seriously injured another 33,000. More than 200,000 are homeless.
August 15, 2007 — Chincha Alta, Peru: An 8.0 earthquake killed 519 people and injured 1366.
May 12, 2008 — Sichuan, China: More than 51,000 people killed by a magnitude 7.9 earthquake. Injured count is greater than 300,000. Office buildings swayed 92km away.
January 12, 2010 — Haiti: A catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake. An estimated 3,000,000 people were affected by the quake. The Haitian government reported an estimated 230,000 dead, 300,000 injured and 1,000,000 homeless.
February 22, 2011 — New Zealand: The confirmed death toll from the magnitude 6.3 quake centered near Christchurch rose to 75 and officials said it was sure to climb further. ABC News reported bodies littering the streets, trapped in cars and crushed under rubble.
March 11, 2011 — Japan: The most powerful earthquake in Japan since records began struck the north east coast triggering a massive tsunami. Cars, ships and buildings were swept away by a wall of water after the 8.9 magnitude quake, which struck about 400km (250 miles) north-east of Tokyo. As a result of the quake, on the 13 March an explosion at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant blew apart the building housing on one of its reactors. The colossal 8.9 magnitude super quake sent waves of churning mud and debris racing over towns and farmland destroying everything in its path and reducing swathes of countryside to a swampy wasteland. The immense force of the quake moved the main Japanese island Honshu by 2.4 metres according to the U.S. Geological Survey. And NASA reported it has shortened Earth's day by 1.8 microseconds and shifted the Earth's axis by about 6.5 inches. The death toll from the disaster is expected to exceed 10,000 with thousands more still missing.
Jesus Christ is coming. The Day of the Lord is at hand. The sea and the waves are roaring, at least one island moved, and Planet Earth was shaken. For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, we know this is all preliminary to what is yet to come. Honestly, I long for it, for I would rather be living in Heaven instead of in this sinful world. But in the meanwhile God gives hope to His true believers in His Word:
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling… Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 46:1-3, 10.
God loves us. He suffers with those who hurt. He longs for the day when there will be “no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying…for the former things have passed away” Revelation 21:4. I believe we are in the end times now and that this time is closer than we think. In the light of Asia’s terrifying disaster and the Bible’s plain predictions about the future, let’s forsake every sin, believe in the One who died for us, and follow the Bible fully. Jesus Christ said, “When these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:28.
“Even so, Come Lord Jesus!” Revelation 22:20.
The Signs of the End Times
On September 8, 1985, a 16 year old and a companion killed a convenience store clerk. The 16 year old described the murder in these words: “We didn’t take any money. We didn’t take any merchandise. We just took the life of an innocent man for Satan.” The 16 year old killer was not even a suspect in the case until six months later when he killed his parents. He was angry at his mother and performed an occult ritual beforehand, explaining, “There was nothing but cold hatred in me.” He was the youngest man on Oklahoma’s death row till he was executed by lethal injection.
Did that story shock you? Probably not. If you have been reading your own daily newspaper, you’re probably beyond being shocked at the evil in today’s world, a lawless world that knows no bounds.
Long ago, Jesus sat on a hillside with His disciples and predicted such a time as this. Jesus’ disciples privately asked, “What shall be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3. The Master foretold the destruction of Jerusalem and then clearly outlined the signs that would precede His Coming. The events that led up to the destruction of Jerusalem would also be present at the end time but on a much larger scale before Jesus’ return.
It’s amazing that when we compare Jesus’ prediction in Matthew 24 with the predictions in the Book of Revelation, they provide an incredibly accurate picture of our day! It is our lifetime of which Jesus spoke! For 2,000 years, the words Jesus spoke on that hilltop in Jerusalem were preserved in the Book of Matthew so we could know the events of our time that signal the end time. Specific, clear signs would precede the most momentous event of the ages; Christ’s Second Coming and the end of the world.
Ten Signs of the End Times
Will there be an “end of the world,” or is such an idea simply the opinion of kooks who stand on street corners waving signs reading, “The End Is Near”? Believe it or not, according to the Bible, yes, there will be an end. Jesus Christ promised His followers, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Matthew 28:20.
So what are the signs of which Jesus spoke? Are there any legitimate and observable “signs” indicative of this approaching finale? Once again, the answer is yes. He told of signs in the world of religion, politics, nature and society. Today, these signs are played out in the stories splashed across our newspapers and TV screens. While many supposed “signs” appear daily on the covers of our nation’s tabloids, here are ten true Biblical signs:
1. SIGNS in the World of NATURE:
In Matthew 24:7, Jesus said, “There shall be famines, and pestilences [strange diseases], and earthquakes in diverse places.” Do we see famines today? Experts know that for many, chronic hunger is an ever present part of life and that 10,000 people a day, or more than 3.5 million people per year die of starvation. Do we see pestilences today, strange diseases running rampant? Some diseases are becoming resistant to antibiotics. And new diseases appear for which science has no cure, AIDS, Mad Cow disease, the Ebola virus. And in 2019, the first cases of the corona virus causing COVID-19, which was subsequently named SARS-CoV-2 were reported by officials in Wuhan City, China, in December 2019. What followed is a world wide pandemic that after one year had already infected over 40,000,000 people! This pandemic will alter the course of history in ways we can't predict, but it's clear the shockwaves will affect for years to come. And do we see earth quakes today? Seismograph stations record 12,000 to 14,000 earthquakes per year or about 35 per day. Many earthquakes of disastrous magnitude peppered the century just closed. There’s a whole lot of shaking going on!
2. SIGNS in the world of RELIGION:
Jesus foretold in Matthew 24:5 that “Many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” Thousands, in their search for certainty, turn to cults, to false christs and false prophets who recruit many to follow them. Jesus warned in Matthew 24:24, “There shall arise false christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders.”
The Book of Revelation confirms that part of Satan’s plan is deception: “He performs great signs so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs he was granted to do in the sight of the beast.” Revelation 13:13-14. The devil will unleash his deceptive power to take captive men’s and women’s minds.
False religions have increased phenomenally. Cults recruit those who are searching. The Heaven’s Gate cult produced a farewell video and then took their own lives. Jim Jones of the People’s Temple led nearly 1000 to their death in the jungles of Guyana as they drank cyanide laced Kool Aid. David Koresh led his followers to a fiery death in Waco, Texas. To say nothing of Swiss cults whose members burned themselves to death, or a Japanese cult planning nerve gas attacks on Japanese subways. There are Bible based cults, UFO cults, Satanist cults, New Age cults and Eastern cults.
The Bible predicts a mighty false revival just before the Second Coming. Over two thousand newspapers in the U.S. carry astrology columns. Dial 900 phone numbers, and psychics will tell your future for a fee. Click on Internet sites, and you can be guided through numerology, tarot cards, and dream interpretations. The devil is pulling out all the stops in these last days. But God is not caught by surprise, He warns us in His Book.
Paul predicted “the time will come” when the majority “shall turn their ears away from the truth and shall turn to fables.” 2 Timothy 4:4. God’s final book, the Revelation predicts the rise of a global, multi-layered, conglomerate religious system called “Babylon,” which literally means, “confusion.” Heaven’s end-time message proclaims, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Revelation 14:8. This mysterious, highly symbolic prophecy reveals that “all nations” will become drunk with “Mystery Babylon’s wine,” meaning the worldwide false teachings of deceptive religions which lead away from the simplicity of the pure gospel of Jesus Christ.
3. SIGNS in out of control Violence:
Jesus Christ said, “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be before the coming of the Son of Man.” Matthew 24:37. What was it like in Noah’s day before the flood? Here’s the answer: “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence” Genesis 6:11. “And God said to Noah, the end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth” Genesis 6:13. Thus “violence” was rampant in Noah’s day, just like today.
4. SIGNS in the world of SOCIETY:
No signs are more obvious than those in the social world. Jesus plainly predicted in Matthew 24:37: “As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.” In Noah’s day, God’s standards were no longer accepted. And how is society’s moral fabric today? Living together outside of marriage is commonplace. Out-of-wedlock babies account for 30.1% of all births in America. The divorce rate quadrupled, from 4.3 million in 1970 to 18.3 million in 1996.
5.SIGNS of out of control Sex:
Again, Jesus Christ said, “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot…Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed” Luke 17:28, 30. What was it like in Lot’s day before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? Here’s the answer: “Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” Jude 7. Thus “fornication” (sex outside of marriage), and “going after strange flesh” (homosexuality), were the primary sins of those ancient cities. It’s a no brainer that through television, Internet pornography, Playboy etc., our world is experiencing an unprecedented deluge of sexual perversion.
6. SIGNS of increasing Stress, Confusion and Heart Disease:
Jesus also declared, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things that are coming upon the earth” Luke 21:25-26. People are stressed out everywhere, confusion reigns, and the Number one cause of death is heart disease. Jesus Christ saw it coming, that’s why He predicted global “distress,” “perplexity” and “men’s hearts failing them for fear.” Fear also raises blood cholesterol.
7. SIGNS of Global Environmental Crisis:
The Bible reveals that when God finally drops the curtain on human history, He will finally “destroy them that destroy the earth” Revelation 11:18. In other words, before the end, mankind will be destroying the very planet we live on. This implies a global environmental crisis resulting from the growth of mega cities, deforestation, a disappearing ozone layer, and earth damaging man made pollutants.
8. SIGNS in the world of KNOWLEDGE:
The prophetic book of Daniel declares, “But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased” Daniel 12:4. This passage reveals planet Earth will enter its “time of the end” and then “knowledge shall be increased,” knowledge about Daniel’s prophecies and knowledge in general would increase. In our modern era, more than any time in recorded history, knowledge has increased beyond previous generations.
As you turn on your computer, remember; ours is an age truly exploding with knowledge. Looking to our daily newspaper for hope, we find only despair. Looking to the Bible in despair, we find hope. Fulfilled prophecies are all around us, Jesus is coming soon!
9. SIGNS in the world of POLITICS:
In Matthew 24:6-7, Jesus says, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars ... For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” The 20th Century saw World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Arab-Israeli Wars, the war in Bosnia, the Gulf War, Kosovo, southern and northern Ireland, wars all over Africa from Rwanda and Somalia to the Sudan and the Congo. One source estimates 180 million people have been killed in the last century; a total far greater than for any other century in history. Peace treaties, based on frail human promises, are signed one day and broken the next. Speaking of our time, the Apostle Paul declared in 1 Thessalonians 5:3, “When they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them ... And they shall not escape.”
Today the nuclear threat is greater than ever. Even though the U.S. has downsized our nuclear arsenal, Russia has not. In August of 1999, CBS’s 60 Minutes II aired a program about Russia’s Secret Cities continuing to produce plutonium—the key ingredient in nuclear weapons. When terrorists and rogue governments go to Russia seeking to buy plutonium to make nuclear bombs, scientists who have not been paid by Russia’s crumbling economy are sorely tempted to sell their precious commodity.
Revelation 11:18 puts it this way: “The nations were angry and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged. And that You should reward your servants the prophets and the saints, ... and should destroy those who destroy the earth.” With unchecked nuclear weapons, we now have the capacity for self-destruction. This is certainly one of the greatest signs of Jesus’ Return, for never before in history has mankind had the capability to destroy all the earth.
10. SIGNS of the Global Preaching of the Gospel:
“And this gospel [the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ] shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then shall the end come” Matthew 24:14. With the aid of radio, television and satellite networks, God’s message of salvation through the death of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on the cross, is now spreading around planet Earth. Thus, in the midst of Bad News, there’s Good News! We have a Saviour who loves us, gave His life for us, rose from the dead for us and will someday return to take us home. The signs of the end times is surely more apparent now than ever.
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
Matthew 24:3 Jesus’ disciples asked for a sign of His Coming and the end of the world.
Matthew 24:4-5, 11, 24 There will be many false religious teachers: false christs and false prophets who will deceive and mislead many.
Revelation 13:13-14 Satan and his agents will perform signs and wonders to deceive people.
Revelation 16:14 Spirits of devils will perform signs and miracles to mislead many.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 The time will come when people won’t endure sound doctrine but will seek out teachers who will tell them what their itching ears want to hear.
Matthew 24:6-7 There will be wars and rumors of wars; nation will rise against nation.
Luke 21:25 There will be distress of nations, with perplexity.
Luke 21:26 Men’s hearts will be failing them, from fear of those things happening.
1 Thessalonians. 5:2-3 Peace talks, based on man’s frail promises, will avail nothing.
Revelation 11:18 When the nations are angry, Christ will ultimately destroy those who would destroy the earth.
Matthew 24:7 There’ll be natural disasters, famines, pestilences, earthquakes all over.
Matthew 24:12 There will be rising crime and violence, iniquity.
2 Timothy 3:1-4 There will be perilous times with moral decadence of every kind.
Matthew 24:37-39 There will be times of wickedness and violence, as in the days of Noah.
Genesis 6:1-2, 5, 12-13 In Noah’s day, wickedness, evil, corruption, and violence were rampant everywhere.
James 5:1-5, 8 There will be economic difficulties, with labor and management troubles.
Daniel 12:4 Near “the time of the end ... knowledge shall increase.”
Luke 21:34 But many will be too weighed down with the cares of this life.
Matthew 24:48-51 The evil servant says, “My Lord delays His Coming.”
2 Peter 3:8-10 God chooses to save all, but He honors our freedom of choice.
Revelation 14:6 The everlasting gospel will be preached in every nation and tongue.
